Wore this through a swampy evening hike and my face stayed completely bite-free while my arms got chewed up. The black mesh is easy to see through and the soft polyester didn't itch against my cheeks like the stiffer net I had before.

The hexagonal mesh actually lets air through, so I didn't feel like I was breathing my own breath on a muggy hike. The black netting makes it way easier to see through than the grey one I had before.

Wore this over a ball cap for a full day of fishing and barely noticed it was on — the soft polyester mesh doesn't scratch like the stiffer netting I've used before. The hexagonal pattern really does keep the air moving, and I stayed bite-free even with black flies swarming.
