The hangout mode is a game changer for me—it turned our rainy camping trip into a cozy semi-open shelter with just my trekking poles. The sack itself fits the rainfly snugly, no wrestling to get it packed.

Finally a replacement sack that actually fits the rainfly without a wrestling match, and the hangout mode trick with trekking poles is easier than I thought it’d be. The drawstring closure holds tight even when I stuff it sloppily after a wet night.

First trip out with this sack and the Hangout Mode came together in under two minutes with my trekking poles — the semi-open shelter gave us just enough coverage while still letting the breeze through. The fit on the rainfly is snug, exactly what I wanted for a replacement.
